Dr.-Ing. Christian Carstensen, Technology Manager
Joined A-Power, a sister company of Zeitecs, in 2009. He has taken on the role of managing the design, development, and manufacturing of alternative drive systems and power electronics for use in the oil and gas industry. He received his Diploma and PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Aachen University. He was research associate from 2001 to 2006 at the Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (ISEA) in Aachen with a research focus on the design of switched reluctance machines and drive converters for various propulsion systems. From 2007 to 2009, he was Chief Engineer at ISEA being responsible for project acquisition, budgeting and project coordination.
Dipl.-Ing. Christoph Neuhaus, Manager Control Systems
Joined A-Power, a sister company of Zeitecs, in January 2011, where he manages the design and development of control systems as well as associated software projects for applications in the oil and gas industry. Prior to his employment with A-Power, he spent five years with the Institute for Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (ISEA) of RWTH Aachen University, where he led research projects in the field of downhole power electronic systems for the oil and gas industry. In 2011, he finished his doctoral studies in Electrical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University, which had been focused on the development of control strategies for switched reluctance machine drives with small dc-link capacitance, especially suited for spatially constrained operating conditions.
Matthew Crowley, Design Engineer
Joined ZEiTECS in 2009, from Borets-Weatherford where he was a design engineer working on motors, seals, pumps and VSDs. He brings several years of international oilfield experience to the company. He holds a Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
Evan Sheline, Design Engineer
Joined ZEiTECS in 2010 after graduating from Trinity University, San Antonio. Prior to his employment with ZEiTECs he held internships with both ConocoPhillips and Chevron. He also worked for many years in the IT industry while earning his degree. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Science.
